I am Andre Damons. I go by nickname Burndre. I am inlove with photos, cameras and everything that has to do with photography. Its what I am.

Photography is more then keeping your finger on the shutter. It is seeing what other people don’t. It’s looking differently at things, no matter how ordinary it may seem, it’s feeling what others don’t feel. Photography is bringing the beauty out of anything, no matter how ugly, how bad, terrible or sad it might appear or be.

Photography is life, its love and expression. It’s keeping the present real and saving it for the future.
It can’t be thought but its learning everyday with every picture. It’s the strive for perfection, capturing the moment as it should be remembered.

I love photography and it’s all I would want to do. It can’t be manipulated nor transformed. It runs in my veins, its what I breath everyday. It is what I am, and what I want to be. A photographer.

This is not only what I see, but how I see it and how I want to show it and how I would want people to see it. See and feel it with me. Look with me and share the moments with me.

More then 90% of the pictures showcased on this blog has been taken with my Samsung Galaxy SII. I love this phone.

About Me

Im a journalist reporting about crime in South Africa. I am a wanna-be photographer that would love to capture pictures for a living one day. I love the action and will take running a round a dusty township, ducking and diving for rubberbullets and stones above boring VIP/Celeb stories any day.  Nothing is more exiting then rushing to a crime scene not knowing what to expect. But sometimes there is not a more scarier thought, either.

I am a kinda funny person and loves a good laugh and make people laught. I can the funny and lighter side in almost any situation. Im not much of a writer so dont expect much other then amature photos that was mostly taken with a cellphone with a good camera.

Some days I love what Í do, other times I hate my job. The love is more though and know that there is people that envy what I do.
